About
Sarah is a conceptual, ideas-based sculptor and multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in UK. Her practice is research-driven and often rooted in narrative, shaped by concept, material, and process. Rather than working within a single medium, she allows each project to develop through an iterative approach in which the idea and the medium evolve together. This process of experimentation and problem-solving ensures the final work remains true to its intent, and to its conceptual and visceral impact.
Contemporary surveillance and the omnipresent eye which Sarah first began exploring over 20 years ago, remain a strong theme within her work as a reflection of living in a fast-developing digital global panopticon. In parallel, Sarah’s practice is deeply engaged with the ovoid form, which holds a sustained aesthetic and conceptual presence throughout her work. Recurring as a motif of beginnings, the egg-shaped form embodies an organic balance between symmetry and asymmetry, combining visual simplicity with structural strength its smooth, natural contours aligning with mathematical principles of harmony.
